Nice set cap and plug all the loose connections highly recommended!
After I install everything on my truck sound good no issues there the all process was very simple and fast if you know what are you doing only issue that I’m having right now it’s the tune for the transmission it’s very weird transmission is acting up all the time you can feel the transmission shifting but on the dash still on the same gear and some times it slips on gear I have never had this issue into I installed this bundle idk if is the bundle that I got or what it is
I've had a great experience every step of the way. If you have questions, the Diesel dudes jump on the line right away to make sure you have a good understanding of what needs to take place. If i was forced to pick one negative, it would be that the bolts connecting the exhaust to the down pipe are too short. Needs to be an additional 3/4" longer to fit all hardware. The stock bolts fit but you will need to by nuts because the original ones are welding to the flange. I was also very impressed with the tracking of my shipment. There wasn't one occasion when I didn't know where it was.
I got the tune in, I watched Dark Iron Diesel. It was good information, but it was a little different than what you do. Installing the tune was a lot easier. Then I installed the replacement pipe, that was a chore by myself. Oh by the way I’m 71 years old, just had a total knee replacement in January this year. I have not removed the small boat anchor on the engine yet just unplugged. I have installed the 4 position switch. It came in with 5 but I change to 4, simple.
My wife and I had the take a trip (211 miles) to pickup some lumber, about 500-600 lbs.
Wow drove same as before and got 5.81 mpg better.
The truck is a lot quicker, sounds nice.
Wished I’d done it sooner. Big test will be when I start pulling a load of hay with it.
Thank you,
Brian
Couple little bits of plastic for alot of money.
